What is the Barnsley driving instructors association?
The BDIA are not a driving school, they are collective group of driving instructors who have formed an association to maintain the highest standards of driving tuition.
All members of the BDIA carry a sticker on the back of their car. This sticker guarantees that your driving instructor is fully qualified and up to date with all the latest driving practices.
All members of the BDIA are independent driving schools in their own right, but are united under the BDIA banner. We have monthly meetings and attend regular training seminars to keep up to date with all the latest skills or changes in the driver training industry.
We are not a large organisation driven by profit margins; we are professionals whose sole aim is to teach you to drive correctly and safely, not just to pass a driving test.
All BDIA members fully qualified high grade instructors. This means that you will not receive your tuition from a trainee instructor. Statistics show that only 1 in 10 trainee instructors pass their Part 3 Test with the Driving Standards Agency to become fully qualified.
How can you tell if your driving instructor is fully qualified or not? This is quite simple; trainee driving instructors display a pink badge in their windscreen, whereas fully qualified driving instructors display a green badge (see examples below). Both badges bear the holders name, photo, serial number and expiry date. This badge should be on display; if it isn’t, ask to see it.
